Manorteq · Rising damp system

Freezteq Original

Stop rising damp in masonry walls. Frozen treatment sticks go into the mortar line, with no pumps and no pressure.

Two Manorteq Freezteq Original rising damp treatment sticks

Highlights

Treat the damp where it rises.

The problem

Damp climbs up to 1.5 m.

Ground moisture climbs walls through the capillaries, typically 1.2–1.5 m above ground, carrying salts that lift plaster and paint and can encourage mould.

Method

Frozen, then slowly released.

The sticks go into holes drilled along the mortar line while frozen, then thaw and slowly spread the active ingredients through the capillaries.

Non-pressurised

Gentle on the wall.

No injection pumps or pressure that can damage masonry, so it suits older and sensitive buildings.

Practical

A masonry drill is all you need.

Odourless and non-flammable, applied from inside or outside, and easy to quantify for each wall. The wall still breathes.

Where it's used

Where it's used

  • Solid brick walls
  • Stone and mixed masonry
  • Internal and external walls
  • Older and heritage buildings
  • Walls above a waterproofed basement

Moisture and salts already above the treatment line take time to leave the wall. Use breathable finishes when replastering.

Application

Drill, insert, let it work.

A summary. Follow Manorteq's installation guide for hole spacing and quantities.

  1. 01

    Drill

Drill holes along the mortar line of the affected wall.

  2. 02

    Insert

Push the frozen Freezteq sticks directly into the holes.

  3. 03

    Release

The sticks thaw inside the wall and spread the active ingredients through the capillaries.

  4. 04

    Refinish

Let existing moisture and salts dry out, and replaster with a breathable render.

Questions

What project teams ask us.

Will the wall dry straight away?

No. Freezteq stops further damp rising, but moisture and salts already in the wall take time to leave. How long depends on the wall's thickness, materials and conditions.

Is it safe in an occupied building?

Yes. It is odourless and non-flammable, and safe in occupied and unoccupied buildings when installed according to the guidelines.

Is it suitable for old buildings?

Yes. Because it is non-pressurised and minimally invasive, it suits historic and sensitive structures.

Why use it after waterproofing a basement?

Once a basement is waterproofed, water in the below-ground masonry can only escape by rising. A Freezteq line just above ground level stops it climbing into the walls above.

Damp rising in your walls?

Send photos of the wall and how high the damp marks reach, and we'll advise on treatment and quantities.
