Manorteq · Tie-bolt sealing
FormRing
Seal around the outside of tie-bolt sleeves before the concrete goes in.

Highlights
Closes the gap around the sleeve.
Water pressure
Stops water pressure up to 6 bar.
Source: Manorteq product literatureHow it works
Seals the shrinkage path.
Concrete shrinks away from the spacer and leaves a path for water. FormRing's synthetic rubber, the same as HydroBar Evo, swells in water to close it.
Fit
One size, many sleeves.
Soft and elastic, one size stretches over spacers from 24 to 30 mm. No tools needed.
System
Pairs with FormPlug.
FormRing seals around the outside; FormPlug seals inside the sleeve. Use both for complete protection.
Where it's used
Where it's used
- Basements
- Retaining walls
- Water tanks
- Tunnels and other water-exposed concrete
Fits spacers with an external diameter of 24–30 mm. Service temperature –50 °C to +70 °C.
Application
On the sleeve before the pour.
A summary of Manorteq's guidance. Follow the technical data sheet for your project.
- 01
Slide on
Fit the ring over the spacer before concreting. Wetting the spacer makes it easier.
- 02
Centre
Position it in the middle of the spacer.
- 03
Cover
Keep at least 100 mm of concrete between the ring and any exposed surface.
- 04
Pour
Avoid installing in continuous rain. If it swells early, it returns to size once dry.

Questions
What project teams ask us.
It's hard to slide onto the sleeve. What helps?
Dip it in clean water for a moment. It then slides on as if lubricated.
How is it different from FormPlug?
FormRing seals the outside of the spacer or sleeve; FormPlug seals the inside of the hollow spacer. Together they seal the whole tie-bolt hole.
Does the sleeve need to come out?
No. FormRing is used with the sleeve left in place.
Sealing tie-bolt holes?
Tell us the sleeve size and how many holes, and we'll quote FormRing and FormPlug.
